About Us

Reunification & other questions

While reunification is always the end goal within the foster care system, we are focusing on those children with whom the probability of reunification with either family or kin is extremely low.  We ask that children attending Joshua Academy commit to a minimum of two years in the program or until high school graduation.
Family visits – working in coordination with house parents, every effort will be made to maintain positive nurturing relationships with family.  However, the school holds the discretion to withhold, reduce, and monitor those visitations, and if at any time there is either harm (mental or physical) all visitations will be severed and the proper authorities called in.
All family visitations are limited to day visits, there will be no overnight stays, with off-campus visits only allowed after proof of safe relations has been validated.
